The Story
Impasto Medium is a heavy-bodied paint that does not contain colour pigments. It is ideal for impasto oil painting brushstrokes and impasto techniques, mainly when producing heavy impasto areas of colour. Because its low, subdued sheen is similar to the shine of a dried acrylic colour film. Impasto Medium may be used in any proportion with the Derivan colours, and there is little visual colour loss when mixing them with Impasto Medium. When dry, Impasto Medium does not appear to alter the richness of the Derivan colours. You can use this medium as a textured modelling compound.
